Really Slow startup. PLEASE HELP

I built my PC about a week ago and it was working fine then, but after a few days the startup became really slow. It would start with a single non blinking underscore in the middle upper left of the screen, for about 5 min. afterwards it connects to my keyboard and mouse and proceeds to go to the mobo screen, for about 4 min. If i go to the bios it just freezes and If I don't go to the boot menu then I have to reset again(the boot menu is super slow). after the long process of selecting the boot drive, I see a black screen for 3 min then a higher res mobo for 4-ish min. after that then I actually get to use windows. From this point everything works as intended with no lag or other issues, but because the bios keeps freezing I really don't know how to update it otherwise. I already tried removing the cmos, didn't do anything. my motherboard is an Aorus elite x570 wifi
