Minecraft using integrated GPU and not dedicated GPU

I have an Asus Tuf gaming fx505dy laptop with a Ryzen 3550h CPU and a Amd Radeon rx560x GPU, and when I play minecraft it used my integrated Vega 8 GPU and not my dedicated Radeon rx560x GPU (but the dedicated GPU is used on other games). I can't switch the GPU the game uses in the Radeon software because in the newer version the option has been taken away. I also tried to go into graphics settings and put minecraft on high performance mode but it still uses my integrated gpu. What can I do to get minecraft to use my dedicated GPU?

Hello, its been a little bit since you posted and i hope you figured things out. I have the same model; Asus FX505DY. I was struggling with the same issue. Though i found uninstalling the Ryzen chipset driver, and re-installing it without the Ryzen power plan  allowed me to change power plan settings. Search "Graphics Settings" in windows settings and make sure Java.exe and javaw.exe are both added as a classic app, with the high performance mode checked. After clean Ryzen driver install you restart and now you should be able to create power profiles. Right click the battery icon in the bottom right of the screen and select power options. From there select high performance>change plan settings> change advanced power settings. Set 99% for min processor state and 100% for max processor state. Make sure AMD power play is set to Max Performance. Switchable Dynamic graphics should also be selected to be Maximum Performance. If this doesn't work, download AMD cleanup utility and the chipset drivers, the auto detect tool works well from my experience. Just ensure you do not install Ryzen power plans!
