as for mirroless you got options like X-t3, a6400, GH5 or GH4

Thank you for the input, gives me a better idea of what I should research/ look into & the price I should expect.

Hi, I am currently looking for video camera recommendations for several different things.

Main uses:
1. Drum covers/ music covers (most likely a still location, or maybe minimal movement)

2. Traveling, nature, vlogging
3. Family gatherings & events
4. Live-streaming at home

(Not sure if there is one that would be decent for all 4, but #1 & #2 would be important to me)

Location:
Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

Budget:

Around $1,500CAD (with gear)

(not sure if I need to spend more or not)

Possible Specs:
4K 60FPS or 30FPS
Decent zoom
Decent battery life

I don't care about weight, brand, or size.

I do own an assortment of XLR mics that could be used for alongside with the video camera if possible or I might need to invest in a lapel microphone or an appropriate attachment.
I currently own a Sony A6000 (mirrorless camera) which I think does the job in the picture-taking department, now I am just looking for something that would cover the video portion. (I think it only shoots in 720P 30fps)

If there is other information needed or there are any questions, let me know!

new or used? for new your budgets on the low end. and used I don't know how well the cad market is doing

are you after a camcorder or a DSLR/mirroless hybrid. the hybrids will lack XLR in but are cheaper than a proper "camcorder/cine camera"

the a6009 can do 1080p 30 or 60.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a Wii and PS2 as your only consoles.

Thanks for replying!
I am fine with new or used.

I had no idea that the Sony A6000 shot in 1080p 60fps (I only recorded with it a little bit, but only in 720p 30 I had the wrong file type selected)
I think I might take a look online with Craiglist & Facebook marketplace for some things, I know it could be sketchy.

Camcorder:
If I was looking to go the camcorder route, I found these that were brought up when I was searching around: (Sony AX53)
https://www.sony.ca/en/electronics/handycam-camcorders/fdr-ax53

and there is also the step up (Sony AX100)

Other:

Sony ZV1

I think I am leaning towards a DSLR & Mirrorless hybrid at this time, but honestly open to anything. I think the most important factors to me are video quality & framerate. I will mostly be using it in a still environment, at least for the time being, limited moving around but I guess a gimbal may work if I do moving shots etc.
