PC power button does not work after shutting down.

I have a Cyberpower PC from best buy

Specs:

AMD ryzen 2300x

Rx 570

240 SSD + 1 TB

8gb Ram

The problem I have is that my pc turns on but after a shut it down I have to either unplug the power cord or flip the power supply off for about 5 seconds before the power button works to turn it on. Do you know how to solve this? Its a brand new pc

Brand new system should go back to the store for exchange.

But if you're up to it... trace where the power button is plugged into the motherboard.  Take off the connector and touch the two pins with the tip of your screwdriver.  Does it turn on?  If so, the power button is broke.  If not, there's a problem with the motherboard.  There's a slim chance that the problem is with the PSU, e.g. low power good signal.
