Heyho Guys,

I want to setup a Minecraft Server and it should be as cheap as possible. It will not need much power, because I am only planning on running vanilla Java for about 4 people max. I currently live in Germany so Servers in America or similar are not my first choice.

I have found this site, where I can rent a virtual Linux server (1 vcore and 1 GB of RAM) for only 1,99€ (it is the XS-variant) a month (https://www.webtropia.com/vserver/vserver-linux-mieten/vergleich.html should be self explainable, but I can translate if needed). My question is, if this is enough resource for my need.

I am a little bit concerned, because of the performance of this single core, does anybody have experience with such servers?

(sorry for bad English)

You will have to use linux tho, windows licence will be + 5€
There are plenty of tutorials how to get a minecraft server running on linux, and it works all fine(at least for me).
