M.2 NVME installation issue

ihuntman19

Hey everyone I've managed to pick up a 256GB NVME M.2 drive from a second hand shop here in the UK, bought a cheap one due to money being excessively tight at the moment. I'm installing it into an ASUS TUF x470 Plus Gaming motherboard and the drive isn't being detected at all, even when i go into disk management to partition it. Would anyone here know what i could do to try and get it to work?

Also will it matter that I have GPU and capture card plugged in as well taking up 2 PCIe expansion slots?

Thanks in advance

If you're using the top most M.2 slot you should be fine.

Is the M.2 slot enabled in the BIOS. Probably is but might as well start easy here.

Sorry about the late reply but yes it was enabled it turned out to be a dead drive so I’ve since bit the bullet and bought a new western digital 500gb m.2 with a heat sink which works perfectly
