hey i just upgraded my pc from an i5 6600k and z170a tomohawk to i7 10700k and prime z490p  and i want to install new windows . i start the pc and it puts me right into bios. so when i want to install the windows i use the DVD . when i enter it and restart it nothing comes and yet i go to the bios . when i go to the boot tap i see the dvd only there . so if i remove the dvd and go to the boot section i see nothing .

That's strange. Maybe you need to set the DVD drive as 1st priority if you havent already.

Also.. when the windows disk is inside the drive and you go into the BIOS does it say anything about windows on the DVD drive? Usually if you have windows on something it will show it in the boot menu. You might have a bad disk. Only other thing I can think of is maybe look around in the BIOS settings to find some boot options you can play around with.
