Busted GPU?

My GPU had been working fine apart from some issues with overheating, when I purchased the phanteks vertical GPU mount and installed it, the GPU never booted as a 2080, yet booted as integrated graphics (of which I don't have). The GPUs fans turn on when connected directly to the MOBO and the riser however none of the RGB or its 2080 graphical features are functional
