computer bsods when starting virtualbox vm

i have a windows 7 vm with viruses on it that opens perfectly fine, but i have a windows xp vm that i wasnt able to use internet on at all, let alone download anything. it used to open but never worked at all internet wise. error code is pnp_detected_fatal_error. host pc had nothing get deleted, everything seems fine. still backing up my files
