Ok, I hate this so much. I tend to play a lot of sports games, namely NBA 2K and FIFA. So... my controller disconnects at times (just randomly) while I am playing. And other times, as usual, it will turn off because I am idle. BUT! This, somehow decides to connect the same controller as player 2. Which obviously makes absolutely zero sense, as I only have a single controller. Is there a way I can disable controller 2 altogether (as I don't use controller 2), so that my Xbox One is forced to select player 1? Try playing a single player game in FIFA when you can't control one of the players as you have to use player 2 :/

EDIT:
I brought my Xbox One right next to the router, and so far, no issues. The answer marked as resolved is not what I did, but can be very useful for swapping our your network card if this is the cause for whoever may have this issue.

have you tried to resync the controller?  is it a fat xbox one?

its hard to tell if the controller is the problem or the console, and i doubt you can just disable a player 2 :|

on my launch xbox one. the wireless module completely died. so i couldnt use a controller at all on it.

it was just a 10$ replacement. and so far its working no problem.

Yes, the standard model. That could be an interesting solution for another issue I was having XD What is the name of the replacement module (brand etc), and where can I buy it?

Yeah, I tried re-syncing it manually, but I mean, it shouldn't just re-sync as player 2 on its own when I turn it on.

I can't seem to do anything except click on the start button lol. Do you have a link to the site for this specific manual? Or even attaching it here should be fine.
