Any time I reboot my PC the screen stays black when connected via DisplayPort. If I connect the HDMI it works... but HDMI can only do 60Hz. This is a new / recent problem. There were no hardware changes & it worked normally/as expected until not long ago.

Side Note: From the day I got my new monitor (CHG90) I noticed that when it was connected through the DisplayPort there was no signal until after Windows was running. It always skipped the BIOS. If I wanted to go to the BIOS I had to connect via HDMI.

The first thing I did to troubleshoot was roll back my Nvida driver. Didn't work. Then I removed the video card and used onboard graphics through the DisplayPort. It did the total opposite. Connecting to the mobo via DisplayPort showed the BIOS onscreen but it was black by the time Windows booted. I thought maybe the onboard Graphics needed their own driver, but when I tried to install it, it says "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software"

I don't really know how / if it's possible to install 2 drivers: 1 for integrated, 1 for GPU. They also only had drivers for Windows 8.1 and I'm on Win 10. That was another complication which led to me being completely out of ideas.

If I play around with it (unplug, re-plug, reboot) long enough I can get the DisplayPort signal to work... But on just about every boot there's a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had that issue for years. I believe it's a known bug with no solution. I have to turn off my monitor. Then flick the power button on the monitor off. Then unplug the power cord from the outlet.. wait 20 secs and boom. It's back. Happens once in a blue moon.

This has happened to me before...
I never fixed it either... (GTX970 at the time)
Just ended using HDMI as the main panel and my DP panel as secondary.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Yeah, for now I'm just booting through HDMI and then switching to DisplayPort... which works better sometimes than others.
