Hello, i just built a new pc and something weird happened, after like 2 hours of using it, it suddenly turned off and started powering on and off until i pressed the psu button for it to stop, after i turned it on again, there was an error saying like windows was unable to boot correctly and it led me straight to the bios menu, i didnt change anything on here and booted my pc normally. It hasnt happened again so far. 

 

Specs:

Mobo asus tuf b450 plus

Ryzen 5 3600

Xpg 2x8 gb 3200mhz

Psu 500watts bronze

1660 super

Xpg m.2 and HDD

A couple of argb fans and rgb keyboard and mouse

Do you have XMP/DOCP on in bios?? what kind of PSU do you have? What were you doing when it acted up?

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...

Yes i have DOCP, at the moment was activated at 3200mhz but i turned it down to 3000mhz, the PSU i have its a mexican brand named munfrost, i was touching the area where the psu is located in my case to see if it was hot or something, but it isnt plus i also use my pc on power saving mode. I was playing league of legends at the moment it happened. Thanks in advance

i can't find any reviews online about it, but your issue sounds psu related. maybe got a bad one.

i can't find any reviews online about it, but your issue sounds psu related. maybe got a bad one.

It is that one, its new on the market from here, how can i check if the psu would be the issue?

kinda difficult if you don't have a second one. i would first set the ram to stock speed, try 1 stick at a time, ect. to rule out the ram. if the issue still persists, good chance it is the psu. if you have access to another psu to test with, then try that to confirm psu. if not, i would probably rma the psu, or see if you can return it to go for a different brand/model.

I see, thanks for the reply, Im thinking of buying a new one to test this, is the coesair 650M bronze any good?

not 100% sure, corsairs are usually pretty good(except vs), but psu quality isn't my strongest suit. here is a good ranking list though:

I just saw the tier, would you think 550watts are enough for my specs or should i go higher?
