Which is best

Hey,

 

I need to advise.

 

I am currently running an I7-7800X, I plan to upgrade my system, (ultimately I want a beast) but I'm troubled of which processor should I go with, should I stay intel and do a I9 x series, or jump to AMD threadripper.

 

What do you all suggest.

depends on the use. if gaming only, intel is still better in single core performance, only barely now, and at a higher price. if you will be utilizing multiple cores, and want more performance per dollar, then amd.

I have no specific usage for it right now, some gaming, some office stuff, possibly video or photo editing later on.
