it has same specs as my other ram its just 2666mhz and 4gb

The 2666mhz will derate to 2400mhz and probably run fine.

Itll be easier to run the faster stick slower than the slower stick faster.

so i have a ryzen 5 2400g its give me decent performance in games i play at 1360x768 but i wanted to know i only have 1x8gb ram its 2400mhz i know if i use 2x 8gb ram sticks i would get much better performance from the vega 11 but all the 8gb sticks cost way to much

there is a store today only having a sale selling a decent 4gb 2666mhz ram stick for really cheap would this be ok to use with the 8g stick also could i overclock the 2400mhz ram to 2666mhz without problem or should i just run both at 2400mhz

i know i should just sell the 8gb 2400mhz and buy much faster ram but the prices are so high and i may be building a new pc next year sometime anyway

It's always best to buy a kit of two. Sometimes even two sticks with the same specs bought separately don't work together properly and the odds of incompatibility increases when they are not the same at all, like here. It doesn't mean it won't work, but you'd have to just try it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D · Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S Chromax.black · Motherboard: Gigabyte Auros X670 Elite AX · RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 · Graphics Card: Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge OC 12GB · Boot Drive: 1TB XPG Gammix S70 Blade NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB WD SN850X NVMe SSD · PSU: Seasonic Focus GX V3 1000W 80+ Gold · Case: Fractal Design North Mesh · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: EPOMAKER x Aula F99 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard · Mouse: Logitech G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse
