5820k too high temperature

Hey.

Im running 5820k, h100i gtx on gigabyte ga x99m gaming 5 and temperatures in iddle are around 50ish. I did prime 95 cpu stress test and in 4 seconds it jumped to over 90*C. Is something wrong or its normal?

The 5820k is not exactly easy to cool. So probably. 
What is your case ?
Where is your radiator ?
Push ? Pull ? Push-pull ?

• What is the vcore?
• How old is your H100i? and does it make and weird noises?
• Have you tried reapplying thermal paste?

About 5 years old. No weird noises.

 

I changed thermal paste today

Im running trading platforms on this pc and when it reaches over 70 im having issues with charts freezing. I thought thermal paste is the issue. I was wrong.

 

Yeah 1 screw for now but it has nothing to do with overheating instantly. Pump and fans are on max load.

would you say ita normal pumps sound? I have no idea if it should be quiet.

It clearly have some bubbles. Move the radiator around while running the pump, it should clear it.

I have h100i gtx in another  pc and pump there  is quiet.

 

I have also old prolimatech meha shadow. You think it will  be fine for that cpu? 

I think i got to experiment with another cooler.

Probably not worth the effort. Just clear bubbles and it should be good. The 5820k is just gonna get toasty on AVX workload ( like prime95 is ) anyway.

Well today iddle holds low 40*C when thermal paste was exchanged and pump connected to the fan controller for full speed. Even on heavy load it looks better now. Can u get rid of bubbles just by moving  radiator?
