I'm overdue doing this, but Windows search is so broken now I have to do it. What I need is a simple filename search that doesn't take forever like explorer does. So I'd like to be able to supply some filename (with or without wildcards, DOS style), apply filtering/sorting based on date, size, etc. It primarily needs to be fast if searching full drives for example. I don't care what's in the file. Command prompt kinda works for some simple cases but it doesn't really handle more complex sorting/filtering if there are a lot of hits.

 

Any suggestions?

Does what it says, fast. I still can't find my file though, but that's my problem.
