I'm not 100% sure if upgrades can go here, so please move if not.

So my computer consists of parts mostly bought within the last 3 years but the case itself is closer to 8 and some of the USB ports on the front just aren't working any more. I'm looking to take the easy way out and just buying a usb pcie expansion slot. I'm thinking of this guy but am open to suggestions. My mother board is here and I only have my graphics card in the top slot so I have a few 16x? slots open. I plan on using this for charging my wireless headset, my phone, and any data transfers via usb thumb drives. I just have a couple dumb questions to ask.

1. I can use a 1x slot card in a 16x slot right?

2. This should basically be plug and play, maybe dl a driver. I don't need to connect any additional power to the card?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

1. Yes.

2. According to the product page you linked to, Windows 10 will recognize the device and install relevant drivers.

Awesome thanks. I figured it's pretty straight forward but didn't want to overlook something simple.
