Budget (including currency): 30k PHP

Country: Philippines

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly games but with occasional photo and video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): currently have the following spec-

Proc: Ryzen 5 1600

Mobo: Asus Prime B350- Plus

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 2x4GB 3200Mhz

GPU: SAPPHIRE Nitro+ Radeon RX480 OC 4GB

PSU: Seasonic M12II 520W

Would it be okay if I just upgrade my proc to 3600, upgrade my gpu, either 1660 Super or 5600XT, and add another pair of 4GB RAM without upgrading my PSU.

Thanks in advance!

the psu is not that good but it can manage. 3600 wont pull much more power than 1600 due its efficent acrhitechture. And rx 480 will pull more power than 1660S

you have to update the bios of your motherboard in order to your 3600 to work.

for the ram the 4gb stock will run in single channel meaning performance loss. get the same 2x4gb kit again.

5600XT is little better than rtx 2060 but cheaper. Your psu will handle these parts since your pc will consume under 350w on fulkl stress. on gaming probably under 300w.

Stil after these upgrades start saving for another psu. The protection of that psu arent that good.

if this is too mcuh over your budget get this instead (it will perform worse in games but it is budget friendly):

Thanks for your answer.

A follow up question though. Is there a big jump in terms of performance from 1660 Super to 5600xt that can justify the price jump? 😅

Yes. As i said 5600XT is little better than rtx 2060. you can chek benchmarks between 1660 super/rtx2060 or 1660super/5600XT

Oh, okay. I missed that. By the way, I forgot to mention, my monitor has no HDMI port. Still using DVI.

Also, is it okay not to upgrade my proc for now? Instead, get a better monitor and get 5600xt?
