MEMORY: C5 post error TRX40-E when RAM in left channel

Had built a 3990x system on Asus Rog Strix TRX40-E, just received the 2666mgz 32Gbx8 256 GB kit (F4-2666C18Q2-256GVK) from G.skill which is mentioned in the QVL for the Mobo , a month for the import and they are finally here!

Issue comes out to be initially had put 2 ram stick of 3000mhz on the DIMM slots on right of the strx4 socket and one 2400mhz in one of the 4 slots the left of the socket.

Used it, tested it, worked fine. Suddenly showed up a "MEMORY:C5 ERROR" on the mini display of the Asus Rog Strix Trx40-E.

Now that I looked into it with new rams, whenever I insert any ram on the left dimm slots and try to  boot, just the C5 ERROR shows up and doesn't even boot

Tried every possible combination:

1. Bios is flashed to latest version

2. Tried resetting CMOS

3. Tested RAMs all are in working condition

4. Also tried the ram positioning.

As soon as I put a single ram stick in the primary ram slot of the left channel, the error comes up.

ANY SOLUTION TO THIS WOULD HELP. RIGHT NOW STUCK WITH ONLY 128GB of RAM in the right channel.

It's just a case of mix matching memory. It doesn't always work well.

Get a new kit of all the same memory modules and try again.

Be sure to clear cmos and read the manual for appropriate slots.

Got a completely new kit F4-2666C18Q2-256GVK

32gbx8 2666mhz kit.

Tried various combinations and also tried with the manual instructions of inserting rams resetting CMOS everytime. When there is any ram on the left side DIMM slots, the C5 Error pops up instantly and the system doesn't boot.

not sure if the Mobo is damaged

Can you take it to a local shop that has another TR cpu you could try?

Could be the board or the memory controller on the cpu. One of the two.
