Stability issues with games.

I have been having problems with games running on my computer, I get constant crashes or just outright refusal to launch. I have swapped out my cpu and gpu with others and the problems persist. I verified that the windows install is good. I did the memtest and it said my ram is good. The only thing I can think off is the motherboard itself, unless memtest is wrong. Any Ideas?

What kind of crashes? Games crashing and refusing to launch sound like software/drivers issue, not hardware.

Is it a crash to desktop? Does it give you any error messages?

Well, I had a breakthrough of sorts. The games that would not work, I moved them to drive with my windows install and they started working(it was a random tip on some steam forum). This has to be one of the strangest fixes ever. I've quit getting blue screens while playing them. I do not know why it worked and that is scary.

Were they on an old hhd before? Maybe check the disk for bad sectors.
