Hey guys, just wanted to share this incase anyone comes across the same/similar problems in future.

So, basically, I tried to load a movie on Netflix last night. As soon as I started playing a movie, the audio just kept ticking/stuttering. The streaming of the movie was fine, it was even in HD.

I have had this problem once before, although I had completely forgotten how I fixed it the last time. So after about an hour and a half of frustration, I finally figured out how I'd fixed it. It turns out there was an update for Mircosoft Silverlight. This update, however, was causing my audio problem. After a while, I realised that the audio streamed fine through my headphones, which were plugged into the on-board audio jacks. Therefore, it must have been my soundcard! As best I can tell, this problem only occurs with Asus Xonar soundcards. I'm currently using an Asus Xonar DX. I played around with the options in my soundcards software for a bit and finally figured it out. After all this time, the only thing that was needed to fix this problem was to go into the Xonar Audio Center and turn off DS3D GX.

I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem, or if it's a fairly rare problem. My Windows 7 install is kind of dodgey (God knows why), and needs reinstalled, so that could be a contributing factor. But, I just thought I'd share my limited knowledge with anyone who may need it. :)
