WiFi for desktop

So I'm building a desktop but the motherboard has no wifi. So could I use something like TP-Link Wireless USB Adaptor TL-WN725N or would I need a Wireless-N Network Adapter with PCI-E Interface?

But the other one is a plug-in USB, would that work?

im using a similar, if not the same TP-link product

a nano USB wifi card, and let me tell you it doesnt handle concurrent high bandwidth task well

anything above 20mbps sustained would make u drop connection after a few minutes

i suspect due to overheat

for normal use it's fine though, i only face this issue when im downloading large files
