Hey guys, I'm a 15 year student in Australia and I game a lot with friends generally at their houses (LAN).

At the moment I have an ASUS K53S series laptop and it just doesn't quite cut it so I decided i'd invest in a new computer. Keeping in mind I travel a lot with my laptop my only options seem to be a M-atx/M-itx desktop or to buy a gaming laptop. I don't have any first hand experience with companies but from all my research is seems I want an ASUS/AMD/Corsair build.

I'd like suggestion on what products to get from these companies that fit the criteria or if there is a gaming laptop that would be suited.

P.S this isn't going to happen instantly so money isn't a problem because i'm happy to save for a while.

Thanks

no you don't

you want whatever gives the best performance for the dollar and fits within the budget that you haven't yet given us.

blind brand preference is the dumbest thing you can do to build a PC

Unless you need portable gaming I would recommend doing a desktop for gaming and a laptop for portable productivity

he does need portable gaming, that's the whole point of this thread.

As for you op, keep in mind that if you build a pc, even if matx or mitx, you'd still have to carry around a monitor, mouse and keyboard, and either headphones or speakers, and have 2 outlets available, or one with a power strip/splitter. But I also wouldn't ever suggest buying a gaming laptop.
