I was given these server for free. I have not been able to find any info on them. I don't see any obvious model numbers on the PCB. As well i cant see to figure out how to remove the cpu's heat sinks. The friend who gave them to me suggested i replace the thermal paste as its been a while since they had been used.

NVM, I misread the service tag. Thought it was wierd that OP said its a server and the tag showed an Optiplex.

Try running this tool on it - https://www.dell.com/support/contents/en-uk/article/product-support/self-support-knowledgebase/software-and-downloads/supportassist

 

I'm doubtful it will ID it since the Dell support site says the ID Tag is invalid but it cannot hurt.

i will try this as soon as i get it all up and running, but that wont be till the middle of next month ( need too buy some power cords and a switch)
