hi all,

need to access the bios to set xmp profile but for some reason it always boots into Windows.

Have repeatedly pressed F2/del when prompted - no luck

Have gone into settings/recovery/restart windows/troubleshoot/uefi firmware settings - no luck, it just restarts into Windows.

Have asus tuf pro x570 with 3700x

MSI Optix mag341 at 100hz

windows 10 home version 2004

Any ideas?

Use restart options in control panel (type "startup" in search field in Settings, then choose "change advanced startup options", then click "Restart now" under "Advanced startup" section). Then after restart you'll be able to find option to enter bios.

It's Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> UEFI Firmware Settings.

Really? Well, strange.

So just unplug your drive(s), enter bios, change ram settings and plug drives again. It's workaround but faster than finding solution.

And disable fast boot in bios and in windows - that will give you better possibility to enter bios in the future.

You can also try hard reset (hold power for 5 seconds) then try to enter bios. But I think option with unplug drive(s) is better.
