Rolling delay for windows update removed

Yes, windows 10 2004 update did that.

Apparently there is a way to stop updates from happening in the group policy editor that is a part of the pro version, but i'll stay on 1909 until i get some more confirmation.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

To be frank, good. Allowing users to skip installing security updates is dangerous. Windows 10 no longer automatically restarts after an update, there's no good reason to not do updates in the background and ask the user to restart when they can. Its not like Windows would install updates while the user is doing anything heavy anyway.

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Feature and Quality updates are a separate thing!!!!

Each feature update gets 18 months worth of quality updates, so it is not like im missing out on any security patches!

My current setup is that quality/security updates are done instantly, while always unstable feature updates (such as 2004) are installed 180 days later, when all the bugs are finally fixed. So removing that option from the win 10 PRO (not home) option is silly, it's not like it was on by default? And pro users can do what they want, because they know what they are doing.

Windows business version still keeps the feature, so why does the pro version lose it?

It’s fine usually, but I’ve had Windows updates break software in the past. If you know it will, it’s nice to be able to put it off until a patch comes out for the software.
