Ram Question need help

So i have 2 patriot signature ram blue modules ddr3 16gb 1600mhz ram that cannot be run in dual channel or they crash or cause instabilitys that cause it to give me blue screens of death could be this a manifacturing defect 

List of the things i have tried

Memtest for about 2-3 hours it doesn't detect any errors at all  i did two test for each stick aswell and no error 

The solution i found is that the ram can be run in dual channel but with different memory brands

i put 1 patriot ram stick with a crucial ballistix sport module and they running fine without any crashes 

and i also added the other single patriot ram module but in single channel 

in total im running about 20gb of ddr3 ram and no crashes what so ever could this can someone explain why this is happening if possible.
