Need help with my OC settings.

To start off, my full set up is,

I7 - 5820k w/ a x99a Sli plus motherboard.

5600 xt 6 gig thic 3 graphics card

2 x 8 gb sticks of corsair 3000 Mhz vengeance ram.

Thermal take 750 psus.

And some type of radiator. Not sure on name or type. But was given for free. 

 

      So to start off I watched LTT recent video on how to OC the 5820k. I did follow the guide. And it was great. But i also was youtubing some other guides. If I OC the core to 4.5 ghz with xmp enabled and ram at 2400 mhz system works fine. 

However it is with the base clock speed at 100. If I go up to even 101. My pc wont post and asks me to change my profile. So it seems I cannot OC my ram to its 3000 mhz. In the youtube video I saw. The guy set his at 36 core clock, with 125 base clock. And his ram is at 3000 mhz. And his cpu is at 4.5 ghz. I'm just curious to see why mine wont post when I change the base clock even by just 1.

Also if anyone has any input on if the ram speed from 2400 to 3000 mhz will even make that big of a difference.
