My laptop has 8 gigs ddr4 ram, but a decent processor, and it runs fine. Maybe its because you have 4 gigs ddr3 ram and 2.60 ghz  cpu (which is not a good speed, no offense). DaVinci Resolve is a rlly good free editor, sucks that you can't use it, but I got some other editor; Shotcut is a decent editor, it can run on your system. Openshot is ok, its a light video editor, but kinda too light.

Ok, thank you for the recommendations.

@dylanthompson2Have u tried reinstalling the software?

My guess is you don't have enough RAM. Davinci Resolve consumes lots of ram. Could you post a screenshot of the proformance tab in task manager?

This is at the point when it stops responding1051884341_Screenshot(5).thumb.png.84be458df8d7e8be5dec704a57ec7c03.png
