Laptop for Uni

Greetings fellow nerds,

 

Needing a bit of help here as I'm out of the loop for the past couple years with what's hot and what's not. Needing recommendations for a laptop to take to uni, needs to be able to fit in a bag but powerful enough for some multitasking. At most I expect light gaming on it as it's for the girlfriend's sister and it's more or less for what an average non-gamer girl would be doing, probably a bit of photo editing on the side.

 

I'm thinking an i5 class machine with 8gb of RAM would be sufficient and an SSD because who would have a hard drive these days.
