Budget (including currency): $2000 Not including Monitors or Peripherals

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Going to be using VMix for the Streaming mix and uploading to both Facebook Live and Youtube.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is going to be a new build and we aren't upgrading an existing system. We might be using 2 monitors or 1 monitor and a TV to watch the stream while mixing. Will be adding a Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2 for Camera capture and running the audio in from our Beringer X32 soundboard. Would this system work well for this purpose.

Better case, more storage, better cpu, better power supply and a better motherboard, no reason to pay over 200 dollars for a b550 if you could just get an x570. When the motherboard comes back it will fit inside the budget.

It will work fine; but id opt for different distribution of budget:

- for the less than price of that rog mobo you could get tomahawk x570 for less (or tomahawk b550), this saves already

- same for the psu, dont pay the premium for just the rog gamers branding for this, likely can save a few bucks for a equal or better unit

- check if your software really benefits from gpu (and if so, amd or nvidia, it can differ). If not, save on that and go 3900x for cpu, If gpu does help used the savings from above to maybe move up to 2080.

Just my 2cts :) youll get a lot of input so dont just tkae my word but take it all in and find what works best for you (also, local pricing can vary wildly at the moment so keep that in mind when i or others recommend stuff based on cost).

Hope you will have trouble free a lot of enjoyment of the machine for you and your audience :)

Couldnt agree more, however for a 3900x gaming edge wifi isnt the best back for buck (its msi's embarasment board on x570, which they even admitted themselves). Better look at tomahawk MAG for examlple, that is their "2nd" try and a lot better :)

I didn't really want the ROG psu but finding psus that aren't way over priced in stock right now is the problem we are running into same with the Mobos.

Looks good. But I do have some suggestions.

Consider better performing memory. A larger NVMe drive and psu. I'd also suggest a solid sided case to reduce noise and lessen the possibility of accidental damage.

There is no need for a Strix motherboard. The Prime series is more appropriate.
