One existed a long time ago (IIRC it was an nvidia GTX 460)

EDIT:

I'm wondering if anyone here has every had one in their possession, played with it for an extended period of time, or still has one tucked away somewhere. I'd love to get my hands on this. Since I"m not a gamer really, the game performance wouldn't be that much of an issue.

DOUBLE EDIT

You can still achieve this on any card if you want. Just get a wireless hdmi dongle.

I had no idea, tell me more

Well essentially it's as simple as plug in a hdmi wireless dongle or station into a hdmi port and plug the receiver in somewhere else. This is how this card worked too but instead of needing a station it was a station in and of itself which severly hampered the usecase probably and that's why we didn't get more.

A quick look around Amazon shows several, but all need *more* cables (for power, etc) which kind of defeats the purpose of having wireless.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong things, you get a better/more accurate link to something?

I would assume you need one per monitor? (I have 3 monitors plugged into my GTX 1060) and an associated "sender" part for each HDMI/DP plug, meaning I'd need to buy 3 pairs...
