Shut down windows 10

Has anyone expirienced an unresponsive shutdown button both on my case and on the start menu. Once i pressed shutdown it turned off 2 minutes later? What could cause this?

What is folding? I just had discord open.

How often does this happen? What else did you have open? How did you try closing the PC? Were there any updates running in the background?

First time however it works fine now.

Then don't worry about it. If it happens frequently, that would be another issue, but if it happened just the one time, it could just be something running in the background that was preventing the PC from shutting down.
