I posted over on the GPU section earlier today.  I was away from my workstation and after dinner came back to work.  The lock screen was on which I had not enabled.  The video display was had horizontal lines at 2mm intervals over the whole display.  I restarted the PC 2-3 times and the display was still screwed up.  I switched over to CPU graphics so I can finish up working and removed the GPU.  I should have looked at the Event Viewer this morning but ii did not occur to me.  Here is what I found:

1) I got a Critical Kernel Power Error 41 which looks like that forced the shutdown

2) 10 seconds later I got a standard event 6008 error saying the system shutdown was unexpected

3) the system restarted on its own with the problem I noted above

I don't know if the GPU is fried and have a new one coming tomorrow.  This is a four month old PC with all new parts in it; specs are in the signature line. The system is used for work and photography and has been completely stable with no overclock.  It stays on 24/7 and the temperatures are all normal.

I have attached the dump file so that someone can help out.   I am at a loss about what might have caused this shutdown and will know more about the GPU issue tomorrow. Let me know if I need to post more information.
