Audio randomly stops working

Sometimes, my sound just switches off and turns into static sound. After about 30 seconds, the sound comes back on. Unplugging the headset and plugging it back in doesn't work. Also, when I play games, for example CS:GO, the game just stops working and doesn't continue working until the sound comes back on. I have no idea what this might be linked to. I have a HyperX Cloud Alpha headset and I also have a USB DAC.
