I had an dell optiplex 3060 and while I was dissembling the motherboard and its parts I removed one of the pin connectors bezel and reseated it in a opposite direction. This pin connector was for sata power. When I connected the sata power to my hard drive and tried to boot the motherboard got burnt and fried from that wrong connection. Is my hardisk by any chance dead? or any other component in my pc?

You must have pushed pretty hard to get it to go in the wrong way.  Pics?

Have you tried booting it up yet?

That black plastic was removed while I was trying to disconnect the cable from it and I've put it in the opposite direction.

Nope did not try to boot it I got a bit scared that I might ruin even more.

I see, well, you could remove the drive first and see if it will get to the BIOS screen.  I'd probably try that first.

That will work with your CPU, but I don't know if it will fit in the case.

You'll probably need a new PSU and cooler too but I don't know for sure.

CPU, RAM, peripherals, HDD (if it's OK) should all work fine.

Yeah am getting a new PSU but the cooler is fine but my question is the CPU, RAM, GPU are not affected by this?
