Monitors/Warzone?

Hi guys. I’m really struggling to decide on a monitor right now. I’m building a pc with a 3600 and a 2070 super cpu. Mainly gaming On Warzone as I’m new to pc gaming coming over from an Xbox. I’m unsure whether 1440p or 1080p is the route to go? I do like a slightly bigger screen as I don’t sit up against it when gaming. Although I am coming across from an Xbox on a 40” tv. Any help or advice you guys could give would be great thanks.

You will have more FPS in 1080p vs 1440, but the 2070s should be able to give you above 60fps all the time at ultra settings at 1440p.

Do I need to be aiming for 144fps though to be competitive on Warzone?

if you have a 144hz monitor then yes, if not, then no as your monitor will only show what it can show and that is your maximum framerate of the monitor, 60, 100, 120, 144 etc...

Also does 1080 carry well on a 27” screen

If the graphics card is good enough you can push more than 144fps on a 144hz monitor.
