motherboard internet problems

hello, i have an "ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) Z390 Gaming Motherboard LGA1151 (Intel 8th 9th Gen) ATX DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 Gen2 802.11AC Wi-Fi", i have recently been trying to connect it with an Ethernet cable but for some reason i am not getting the correct speeds since on my laptop i am getting above 500 MBps but on my pc im only getting 20mbps. Can anyone help me figure out whats wrong please, or have any recommendations (as in if i should just not worry about it and get a 10gb pcie network adapter.

Maybe change cable. Maybe the ethernet canle can only carry up to 30MB/s

I’ve tested the same cable on the laptop and I got above 500MB/s

I’ve also checked and saw that the status of my Ethernet port says it’s 1GB but for some reason when I do a speed test I’m only getting 15mbps

Update the chipset drivers 

And every firmware and bios  and try
