I've spent the last few days browsing around looking for a new laptop for school and gaming but I'm having trouble finding one that meets all of my needs. My current one is just a hair under 5 years old and while it still works okay for school, the older hardware is having trouble keeping up with newer games.

My minimum requirements are:

able to play most modern-ish games at 1080p60fps on high

16GB ram

1x m.2 pcie drive connection (preferably with a 2TB or bigger drive already installed)

1x sata drive connection

2x USB 3 ports
1x USB 2 port (I have several usb 2 devices so wasting a usb 3 port on them seems rather ill advised)

If possible I'd prefer the following, but these are not necessary:

able to play most modern-ish games at 1080p90+fps on ultra settings

32GB ram

2x m.2 pcie drive connections

2+x sata drive connections

Touchscreen monitor

2x USB 3 ports

2x USB 2 ports

For the preferred, the more that are matched the better but I doubt a laptop that nets all requirements even exists. Regardless, I'll settle for one that only meets my minimum specs. I listed all of them in order of importance to me so the higher up the list, the more I want that feature.

As I said, I've already been shopping around, but some places don't even list things like usb connections or storage connections, they just give the total storage capacity that comes pre-installed.

Price isn't really an issue. I'm not rich and I don't have a millionaire job or anything, but I don't have to pay rent where I live right now and my income is fairly stable, so if it takes 6 months to save up for a 4000 USD beast then I won't mind waiting. My current laptop is still in good enough shape to keep me playing games but it only runs around 45-50fps on low-medium settings, hence why I'm looking to upgrade.
EDIT: I'd still prefer to spend less money, though.

I don’t think you will be able to find one with a SATA drive as most are moving to only m.2 to save space. I also don’t think there will be one with usb 2 but there will be some with thunderbolt 3, usb c, and lots of 3.whatever type a. Is that ok?

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

if there's no usb 2 option, I'll need at least 3x usb 3 ports. I have two usb3 devices that are nearly always connected to my laptop (currently through usb2 ports since my laptop now doesn't have usb3), even in class, and a small number of usb 2 devices (mostly older portable gaming machines like ps vita's and psp's) that I connect on occasion for charging and general file maintenance.

I don't really have any thunderbolt devices so thunderbolt ports might not be useful for me, but it's okay if they're included.

And if there's no SATA that should be okay. I can buy a usb external drive for my storage stuff. But I will need at least 2TB of drive space and I'd prefer 4TB

You should look at eluktronics. You can fully customize a laptop and get some insane specs in it. They have options for everything except touchscreen.
