Laptop in BOOT LOOP. Please help

It appears that your installation of Windows is muffed.  Use a Windows Media Creation tool, delete all the partitions on the drive and then reinstall Windows.

My Lenovo Y520 (Core i7700HQ, GTX 1050Ti, 16Gb, Windows 10) appears to be in a boot loop. It briefly shows a command prompt thing and the windows update screen before it reboots again and does the same thing. Turn off the computer completely. Then hold the shift key and press the power button. Keep holding it until it gives you the safe mode selection screen if it does not and continues to give you the same screen over and over you got a borked os
