I recently got a 16gb dual-channel kit and installed it.

I used to run a single 8gb stick that ran fine and bought another 8gb stick that worked on its own but not together (I don't know if this info will be useful)

Later I then bought a set of ram and it's been acting up ever since

I keep getting BSoDs and I get errors like Kernel Security Failure

My PC will run fine for a while and randomly crashes, It doesn't matter how much memory I use. Sometimes it crashes immediately, sometimes in 2 hours after I boot up.

Memory Diagnostic does acknowledge I have hardware problems however I'm hoping to see if I don't need to replace the ram.

This is the specific ram I got.

My specs are as follows:

I5-9600k (Not currently overclocked.)

MSI Z390-A Pro

CX750

1 TB Seagate and 2 TB Seagate

GTX 1070

Feel free to ask for additional info.

Try and update your BIOS on ur MB. just google your MB and add bios update to the search. you should get a hit that will give you a link to the update and how to update it. Also try just putting in one of your old sticks while updating to avoid bricking.

Did you install the new kit, just the two sticks by them selves?

If so they belong in the 2nd and 4th slots from the cpu.

Are you using XMP and then it blue screens or does the kit do that at all defaults (clear cmos)

It's just the two sticks on their own.

They are in the 2nd and 4th.

I'm not using XMP but they are the identical sticks and they came in the same set so I'll try it but I dont feel like XMP will change much

I was only curious if XMP was just unstable.

If the memory throws errors at stock, you'd be best to return them in my opinion.

Unless updating the bios like previously suggested helps.....
