pls help with display overclocking

hello everyone

 

I just got a new monitor and it has a higher refresh rate then my old one but can i overclock my old one to lets say 80 hertz i know that people usually overclock to 75 but just wondering why people Don't overclock to 80-85?

You can just try to do it. I think people usually just say whether they got past a certain threshold.

 

As far as I know, there is no danger in overclocking your display too high, since if you go beyond what is possible, the display just can't accept the signal anymore, and that is it.
