Dell Dimension E520 Upgrade

Hi all. My dad recently just gifted me his old dell dimension e520. I have a spare core 2 quad q6600 lying around and I am thinking to replace the core 2 duo inside. I am pretty sure it will work as they both have a LGA socket 775. I also need to ask if the PSU will handle this as its only a 300 watt PSU. I am also thinking to add 2x4gb RAM, and a 256gb ssd. Will the system support this? This computer will just be used for light browsing and maybe light work like using Word and PowerPoint. Thanks to all who respond
