Another PC Build

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming

Other details: Purchasing in a week to the end of June.

 

Hi, all. I'd like you all to review my parts list for a new desktop. The desktop will really only be used for gaming. I have 2 monitors currently, both 1080p 60 hertz. I would like to upgrade them in the future for 1440p , but no time soon. I'd like to dabble in VR games at some point. My case is the Cooler Master H500m. I will not overclock, except maybe enabling the XMP profile. 

 

What is everyone's opinion on this build? Should I wait for the new B550 MoBos to be released or switch over to an Intel build and get a 10600k when they're restocked? 

 

If this build is good, are there any changes that should be made? Other RAM to go with the 3700x/MoBo? 

 

Edit: I do have a 1TB HDD (7200) and 2 smaller SSDs for storage.

A 500GB SSD runs out of space quickly, I say that from owning one. For a little extra, you could get a Crucial P1 1TB or a 500GB P1 and a 2TB Compute.

Oh, I forgot to add I do have a 1TB 7200 HDD and 2 smaller SSDs I can use for extra storage.

Only other thing I could see would be upping the RAM to 3600MHz CL16. It should cost about $20 and give 5ish fps extra.

Would the Aorus Elite support 3600MHz out of the box?

It should be as simple as enabling XMP.

I found one kit on the QVL. Not RGB, but it's $10 less.

Most kits will work fine. Its just that motherboard manufacturers cannot test every single kit on the market. If you want the guaranteed compatability buy the kit listed on the QVL.
