Hey fri3nds.

I've been using this mouse for quite a lot on default settings in Engine software.

Out of cuirosity I came to the software and don't know if I need to change any of this settings for better gameplay with this mouse.

Besides settings marked as 1,I don't know what is and 3,any do I need to change anything or keep using under default settings?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

This is how I use my mouse, just set it up how you like it by experimenting in your games or whatnot

the cpi is essentially your sensitivity, lift off distance is how far off the mouse pad your mouse will make movements, acceleration and deceleration are that of your mouse on screen, angle snapping is kind of useless if you want free movement, and idk what polling rate is

okay.So 800 dpi is not enoigh for FPS?

I changed to 2500 but don't notice any difference.

800 is fine. You're not noticing any difference because you set Sensitivity 2 to 2500. The sensitivity 1,2, and 3 are changed by clicking the CPI button, marked as CPI Toggle on the key remaps to the left.

It's how many times/second your mouse sends signals to your computer.

So if you notice stuttering and frame drops, lower it to 250-500hz instead of 1000hz (it's a known issue).

"hi 911? my grandma is on the floor and shes not responding to anything"
"have you tried turning it off and on again?"

is CPI, which is sensor resolution (not to be confused with sensitivity even though that's what Steelseries calls it). There's a whole technical explanation but basically, in an OS/game engine, it usually makes your cursor/crosshair go faster. As a very general rule you should try and keep it below 2100 CPI since on many sensors that's when smoothing kicks in to suppress jitter/noise - in-game sensitivity can be used to increase the movement speed beyond this point.

is acceleration and deceleration. Basically, it's a setting that increases the sensitivity of your cursor proportionally with movement speed of the mouse, so when moving slowly the sensitivity is lower compared to when you're moving quicker. You can play well with this and a lot of players do, but generally it's recommended to turn it off.

is actually two different sections. The upper half is the angle snapping setting, which corrects your cursor into a straight line when it detects that as what you're trying to do. It's useful in some applications but turn this off for gaming since you don't want software changing your mouse movements.

The bottom half is polling rate. That determines how often the mouse is capable of reporting its sensor position to the PC - it should be set to 1000Hz. What the other user said about stuttering/performance decrease should not happen on a modern PC, and if it does then you most likely have an issue with your system.

oh okay thx so much for detailed explanation

So  what settings should be under 2?

I don't have any issues while gaming, just ask is it okay to keep these settings like on picture above (by default)?

Turn it off. You can play with acceleration curves later if you feel the need, but if you're totally new to this kind of stuff it's usually better to leave it off.

But it's turned off,right?
