Ethernet Issue

I completed my build and when i start windows I have no internet from my Ethernet connection. I have a MSI b450 tomahawk max and I installed the latest driver from MSI's website. The error says there is a broken connect between access point, router or modem. I need help to resolve this issue so I can start using my new build.

Your ethernet cable might be faulty. Try reconnecting both ends of the cable.

That's what I assumed since it made a weird connection, but the cable was working with another computer earlier today.

Can you see if the RJ45 pins in the motherboard are bent?

I tried a new cable and that didn't change anything. It doesn't seem to be clicking into the socket but the inside of the socket looks good. From the back of the motherboard nothing looks bent.

That's odd, I suppose you'll have to send it back. Unless you can get better help on the LTT discord server. I recommend you definetly ask there as well.

I power cycled my router and now it connects to the internet.
