upgrade path advice

not sure if I've posted this in the right forum. if not sorry 

 

I currently have an a8 6600k cpu 

and a r7 240 gpu.

 

I'm looking at a full upgrade with maybe a rayzen 5 3600 paired with a rx 5700xt in the future. but I'm currently looking at doing this in stages cause on money income.

so my current plan is as follows

1. upgrade gpu to rx580

2. upgrade cpu mobo ram Oct to b450 and ryzen 3600. keeping the rx 580

3. final upgrade of adding rx 5700 xt

 

I'm just after advice is this sounds a decent upgrade path or if I will hit major problems. I am aware that the rx 580 is over powered for my current cpu. 

 

ps future upgrades may change as new parts come out.

i would omit step 1.

 

1. upgrade gpu to 5700xt

2. upgrade cpu mobo ram
