I just got a new wireless gaming headset and I am having an issue with the receiver (2.4 ghz version), which stays plugged in to USB while the headset is off, still registering in Windows as being the default audio device.

I am having to manually switch the output in the tray AND in the game I'm playing to the headset when in use, and to my desktop speakers when not in use.

Is there a way to either easily turn off that USB port with a button, or to make that receiver the default device only if the headset is powered on? I feel like this is a common issue that someone has a solution for.

Thank you!

There isn't exactly a solution, nor is it a common issue since not many people have pc speakers to start with. In the end it isn't exactly a big issue since it only takes about 3 clicks and less than 3 seconds to switch the output.
