Hi, I have been wondering about a new mATX system, and I am wondering about the case.

The mobo I'm using is an ASUS Gryphon. I was thinking about a 350D, since it looks like a mini 900D, and I really like the design and look of it.

Other options are a Silverstone SG09, BitFenix Prodigy M, BitFenix Colussus M, among others. Any suggestions? What do you think about an mATX rig?

Note** I know the 350D is a bit bigger than the other options, but I don't mind that, I just don't want a full tower.

Thanks!

I'd say 350D for overall design, I really like how it looks, as well as being feature packed and well build.

Probably the best M-ATX case for airflow performance and hardware compatibilty is the Fractal Design Arc Mini R2. You can even fit a 360 rad in that thing.

Yeah, that is pretty awesome for an mATX case, but I don't need anything more than a 240 rad, since I'm throwing a H100i in there, but is the airflow still decent-good in the 350D?

i have the colossus matx, its pretty baller :P but i really like the design of the nzxt h440

Does the colussus have good airflow? And can it fit a 240mm rad somewhere to fit a H100i in it? And does it have a GPU lenght restriction? Thanks!

It's certainly good enough. Of course the front is quite airflow restrictive in comparison with the Arc Mini, where it's just mesh. People don't recommend putting a radiator in the front of a 350D, but I don't think that's what you are planning to do.

No, I plan putting the rad on the top of the case haha. They're both about the same size, and here in Australia the Arc Mini is about $20 cheaper than the 350D, so which one would you go for?

you can fit a 240mm rad if you ghetto mount it above the graphics card, thats if you dont have an optical drive and only one card. you will only get great airflow if you fill up all the fan slots. no gpu length length restriction if you only have one card, if you have two i dont think you can fit the optical drive in

hellooooooooo

350D, purely for looks, and my last two cases have been FD (R4 and now Node 304) so if I would get a new one, I'd be looking at something new.

I'd say just decide on which one you would rather have on (or under) your desk, they're both very good cases.

Yeah, I think the 350D is a good choice, but I might use the Arc Mini in future builds, since I do about 6 builds a month, since I help my dad with the business, and that'll be my next choice for an mATX case, thanks for the advice! :)
