Microphone not working

My mic suddenly stopped working and IK I know for a fact that there's nothing wrong with either my mic or my PC. It has something to do with my settings but I'm not quite sure what. I've tried troubleshooting, changing the playback device, and basically everything I could with "sound" in control panel. Changing my settings through control panel makes my mic work for like 10 secs and then it stops working again. Is there a way I can set all my audio settings back to default or something? I really don't feel like resetting my whole PC cuz of this.

BTW I built this PC 2 years ago myself, and am using windows 10 latest version.

 

 

edit: So I just realized this happens completely randomly and after a while starts working without me doing anything. Like i was in a discord call and my friends couldn't hear me and then after like 30 mins it randomly started working and they could hear me

Try to go to device manager (use search) disable the mic and after 10 mins enable it. It usually works for me.

It's a Hyperx cloud stinger headset

I just woke up and now my mic is working just fine now, if it happens again I'll def try that, thanks.

i just tried it and it didnt help
